- Overwhelmed by the glorious Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ;
- Overwhelmed with hope amidst the sadness of this broken world;
- Overwhelmed with beauty as I listen to Bon Iver and Sin Fang Bous in my new office;
- Overwhelmed that the more I think I know of God and His holy word, the more mysterious and magnificent it becomes; it is an abyss that grows as I grow in Him;
- Overwhelmed that my new nephew is in Addis Ababa, waiting for his mom and dad (Jim and Linda) to bring him home;
- Overwhelmed that my new niece is one day closer in her movement from foster child to daughter;
- Overwhelmed that Ian, Sophie, Annie, and Isaiah are disciples of Jesus Christ, standing on His word, and learning to pray to the Living God;
- Overwhelmed that my wife's heart is protected from the silliness of "time's surface" and is broken by those very things which break God's heart;
- Overwhelmed that I am growing older and perhaps wiser;
- Overwhelmed that there is so much to do and that I usually feel rather ill-equipped to do any of it;
- Overwhelmed that the way to God is not through ethics, morality, intelligence, or physical strength, but through brokenness as a persistent acknowledgment of reality and need;
- Overwhelmed by grace today. Thank you Lord.

Happy Attack
I'm nearly hyperventilating with a rather sincere happy attack this morning.
