Romans 8:1-11

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."

Christ's sacrifice on the cross was sufficient to cover our sins. The Law is fulfilled. Sin is condemned. The flesh is set free and enlivened by the Spirit. We have life--true, genuine life that makes our previous life look like plastic fruit compared to a rich apple still hanging on the tree.

Christ's death has set the stage for the glorious resurrection. Sin is paid. Death is defeated. Now life.

Praise be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

  1. Trav,
Sounds good, but all too often the life I experience feels more like plastic fruit than a Braeburn.

  2. Ah, bro! Yeah, you are so right. But it is Christ at work in us to make the cosmic reality (we are a new creation in Him) an earthly reality. As a smarter man than me once said, "Sanctification is becoming in our daily experience what we already are in Christ."
    Real fruit.
Peace be with you, Jon. Happy Easter!
